For all events, the area where the event is being held is closed 1 hour before and 1 hour after for range set up and take down.

These events are open to the public.

 

Monthly Meetings2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. (Indoor Range)

A Girl and a Gun Montrose CO Chapter – Breakfast and bullets 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 9:00 AM and Girls Night Out 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 6:00 PM. Be sure to check the calendar for the location. Email agag@montrosegunclub.com for more information. Range Fee $5.

 

Varmint Silhouette3rd Saturday of the month at 9:00a.m. April thru September (Outdoor Range):  $20, $10 Ladies, Youth Free.

You’ll shoot at 5 targets at 4 distances: 150, 200, 300, and 400 meters. 5 targets at each range for a total of 20 targets.

The event costs $20.00. The cost for women is $10.00, juniors 14 & under are free. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult.  One half of the proceeds will go to the top three shooters at the conclusion of that day’s event.

Clay Pigeon shoot3rd Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. November thru March (Outdoor Range):  $20, $10 Ladies, Youth Free.

This is bench rest shooting with front rest and rear bags allowed. And no caliber restrictions for clay pigeon.

The event costs $20.00. The cost for women is $10.00, juniors 14 & under are free. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult.  One half of the proceeds will go to the top three shooters at the conclusion of that day’s event.

Skeet –(Summer) Mondays at 5:30 pm. (Winter) Sundays at 10 am. (Outdoor Range): $4 for members/$5 for guests per 25 rounds.

In skeet shooting, targets are launched from two “houses” or machines in somewhat “sideways” paths that intersect in front of the shooter. The two houses are a low house and a high house.

The cost is $4.00 per round for members and $5.00 per round for guests. Each round is 25 shots. Bring your own gear: gun, ammunition, eye & hearing protection.

This is a recreational event so come out and have fun!

TrapSaturdays at 9 a.m. (Outdoor Range): $4 for members/$5 for guests per 25 rounds.

In trap shooting, one target is launched from a single “house” or machine away from the shooter.

The cost is $4.00 per round for members and $5.00 per round for guests. Each round is 25 shots. Bring your own gear: gun, ammunition, eye & hearing protection.

5 Stands- 

5 stand will move to 3rd Sunday at 2 p.m.

This event costs $5.00 per round for members and $6.00 per round for guests, each round is 25 targets.

Great instruction! Shooters are presented with five targets at each station, 25 targets in all. Seven machines throw targets in different directions. For hunters, it’s a great game, giving you the chance to work on shots simulating everything from fleeing rabbits and flushing to quail to ducks dropping into a set of decoys. Bring your own gear: gun, ammunition, eye & hearing protection.

Junior ProgramOctober thru April – Thursdays at 7:00 pm & Fridays at 7:00 pm. (Indoor Range). 

Started October 3rd.  Will Run until the middle of May. The indoor range is closed Thursday and Friday evenings at 7 p.m.

This fun and challenging program for children 10 years and older teaches lifelong skills and gun safety. Cost is $1 per week.

MRGC Match – First Sunday of each month at 9:30 a.m. April through December (Outdoor Range).  January through March (Indoor range).  $10

 It is preferable that participants show up at 9:00 am to prepare. The shoot begins at 9:30 am.

During warm weather, this is at the outdoor range shooting 5 steel targets at ranges of 7-35 yards. In winter months the event is at the indoor range shooting paper targets at ranges of 7 yards to 50 feet.

This match is for 22 pistol or rifle, centerfire pistol, pistol caliber carbine. You can use optics or iron sights and holsters are optional. This is a timed event.
