Now there’s just one little thing standing between you and range glory:
The New Member Meeting & Orientation.
New members are required to attend our monthly membership meeting on the:
2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
Montrose Rod & Gun Club Indoor Range
And yes — this meeting is also where you receive the access codes for the ranges.
So if you skip the meeting, you may technically be a member… but you’ll also be a member standing outside the gate wondering how to get in. 😄
After the meeting, we’ll take you around the range for orientation and explain how everything works.
We’ll cover things like:
- Where you can shoot
- Where you absolutely should NOT shoot
- Range safety procedures
- Gates and access
- Guest rules
- Cleaning up after yourself
- And all those little details that prevent future conversations beginning with, “Soooo… funny story…”
You’ll also get a chance to meet some of the people who keep the club running and learn about the different events and shooting disciplines available.
A Few Important New-Member Survival Tips

Yes, all of them.
Follow the range rules.
Yes, even the ones you think are obvious.
Do not share your access code.
Your code is for you — not your buddy, neighbor, cousin, coworker, or that guy who “just wants to shoot for a few minutes.”
Clean up after yourself.
We do not have a housekeeping department.
Pick up your brass.
And before anyone asks — YES, .22 LR counts.
It may be tiny.
It may hide exceptionally well.
It may reproduce on the floor when nobody is looking.
Still brass. Still yours. Pick it up.
Our club is run and maintained largely by volunteers.
They are wonderful people.
They are generous people.
They are not range elves.
So come to the meeting, get your access codes, stick around for orientation, ask questions, learn the ropes, and then we’ll officially turn you loose.
